The Vampire Sampler, from Buerkle, is a handheld peristaltic pump. It gets its name from its sucking power, making it a versatile and portable peristaltic sampling pump.

Originally purposed for oil sampling, the sampler is now used for a range of applications, from in-the-field drain-pipe sampling to use in the laboratory. The sampler appears like a power drill with a peristaltic pump head attachment on the end. It grips comfortably in the user’s hand and is suitable for fast sampling without preparation.

Simply put the plastic container to be filled in the metal vessel holder and insert the tubing into the sampling liquid. The tubing and pump design saves time and prevents cross-contamination and accidents. The sampler has a built-in basket to hold the sampler bottles, feeding straight from the tube, and is easy to clean.

The sampler can be used to suck liquids through the tubing up to 5 m at 2 L/min, making it suitable for small, narrow, difficult and tight spots. Its small size and versatility means it can be used for sampling liquids from barrels, wells, tanks, water separators, purification systems and sewage systems. It features rechargeable batteries for easy use anywhere.

The product comes complete in a padded storage case for easy carrying and storing. It is supplied with bottle basket, drive unit, two rechargeable 12 V batteries, battery charger, peristaltic pump head, LDPE bottle and 5 m of PE chemical-resistant suction tubing. LabFriend can offer the complete set in two bottle size configurations - 250 or 500 mL.
