3M Food Safety 3M Molecular Detection Assay Listeria monocytogenes

Friday, 30 August, 2013 | Supplied by: 3M Food Safety

3M Food Safety has announced the launch of its 3M Molecular Detection Assay Listeria monocytogenes. The system provides pure and simple testing for dangerous pathogens in a variety of food matrices. Listeria monocytogenes remains a serious concern in the food processing industry.

The molecular detection assays use isothermal amplification of nucleic acid sequences, plus bioluminescence to detect the amplification. Presumptive positive results are delivered in real time while negative results are displayed after the assay is completed. The product is fast and easy to use, without sacrificing sensitivity or specificity. It is applied to enriched food as well as food process samples.
