The PROGRES GRYPHAX SUBRA microscopy camera is the latest addition to the portfolio of Jenoptik PROGRES GRYPHAX cameras made for routine microscopic applications. It generates fast live images in full HD colour at video speed and 2.2 MP resolution.

Using a sensitive, scientific-grade, 2/3″ CMOS sensor, with 5.5 x 5.5 μm pixel size, the product generates 30 fps via a USB 3.0 superspeed interface that makes the camera easy to connect to the user’s PC or laptop. Free software and updates are included and the camera is compatible with Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems.

Other benefits include: dynamic range of 71.8 dB; third-party software support; exposure up to 2 s; global shutter; and no external power supply needed. Applications include quality control (grain analysis, welded seam testing and controlling manufacturing processes) and material science (determining structures, quantitative and qualitative sample analyses and documentation).
