Thermo Scientific Trace 1300 Series GC system
Scientists using gas chromatography (GC) can enjoy a variety of options with the Thermo Scientific Trace 1300 Series GC system, designed to conserve helium, permit use of multiple detectors simultaneously, automate sampling gas workflows and perform flame photometric detection.
The platform features the option of the Instant Connect Helium Saver module, said to reduce helium consumption by an average of 80% compared to a non-equipped instrument. The Instant Connect design lets the user easily install and replace modules without tools.
The high-capacity 1310 auxiliary oven, with multi-valve, multi-column capacity, enables the use of up to four conventional detectors simultaneously. This is expected to be useful for chemical and petrochemical applications.
The dedicated Instant Connect flame photometric detector, for traces of sulfur, phosphorous or tin-containing species, will have application in food and environmental testing. The Instant Connect gas sampling valve module is designed for automating sample gas analysis workflows and introducing precise amounts of gas samples directly into the capillary or packed columns.
The product can be controlled by the company’s Dionex Chromeleon chromatography data system, designed to streamline the path from samples to results by simplifying workflows. Existing 1300 Series GC instruments are compatible with the Instant Connect modules, which can simply be plugged into the mainframe.
