Waters Xevo G2 TOF mass spectrometer
The Xevo G2 TOF mass spectrometer with UPLC/MSE and QuanTof technology has been released.
Powered by QuanTof technology, the instrument brings Synapt G2 technology in an accessible, benchtop system for quantitative and qualitative performance.
The technology combines a high field pusher and dual stage reflectron with an ion detection system in an optimised TOF geometry.
Together these features provide a new dimension of high resolution, exact mass and quantitative performance compatible with UPLC separations.
Further bolstering the system’s performance capabilities is UPLC/MSE, a method of data acquisition that allows users to view high-quality, unambiguous exact mass precursor and fragment ion data from a single data set; in essence, the ability to see all the data, all the time.
There is a choice of UPLC inlet technologies and ion sources to maximise the number of experimental options and research applications. These comprise the nanoAcquity UPLC and Trizaic UPLC inlets and ion sources including: electrospray, nanoflow ESI, atmospheric chemical ionisation, combined ESI/APCi, atmospheric solids analysis probe and atmospheric pressure gas chromatography.
User accessibility is enhanced by the company’s Engineered Simplicity for solving problems through MS-based system solutions by liberating scientists from tedious aspects of MS while maximising the value of each scientific experiment.
