Interworld Electronics has released the EKS-97-TP fully sealed keyboard for medical and industrial environments. The product provides 97 keys and includes 12 function keys, a 10-key numeric keypad and an integrated touchpad pointing device.

The keyboard complies with IP67 standards and is resistant to dirt, debris and water. Its low-profile keys can be repeatedly cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants, making the device suitable for infection-control environments. It is said to be one of the thinnest full-size, fully sealed and washable keyboards available.

The product is supplied with a plug-and-play USB interface that does not require any software or driver installation. The unit is compatible with all Windows operating systems and meets CE and ROHS standards.

The keyboard is protected against splashing, hose-directed and submerged water; bleach, alcohol and hospital-grade disinfectants; corrosive, abrasive, acidic and alkaline substances; dirt, dust, sand and other airborne debris; and extreme temperatures.
