Bio-Rad Laboratories has released seven infrared databases including: name of database number of spectra; pharmaceutical excipients 882; biochemicals 590; pollutants (IR vapour phase) 910; flavours and fragrances (IR vapour phase) 496; protective materials 772; acrylates and methacrylates 478; steroids, androgens, progestins and estrogens 305.

The spectral databases, which include the Sadtler collections, are used in the verification, classification and identification of chemical substances across multiple areas of research. Applications include pharmaceutical, forensic, environmental, materials sciences, polymers and many others.

With these databases, the company now has over 100 infrared spectral databases.
