FK1 and FK2 Horseradish Peroxidase Conjugates

In order to investigate the status and extent of protein ubiquitinylation, it is necessary to have available a range of antibodies capable of differentiating firstly between free ubiquitin and ubiquitin-protein conjugates and, secondly, between those that are monoubiquitinylated and those that are polyubiquitinylated.

Over the past seven years, BIOMOL products PW8805 (clone FK1) and PW8810 (clone FK2) have become the most widely used ubiquitin chain-reactive antibodies worldwide. These antibodies have found very wide application in many areas of investigation and there is a substantial associated bibliography*. BIOMOL scientists have conjugated these antibodies to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) utilising a proprietary method, which has led to products with greatly enhanced sensitivity in western blotting applications as shown in the figure below.

Lanes a & e probed with PW8805 (clone FK1; 1 µg/mL); lanes b & f probed with PW0145 (FK1H; 1 µg/mL); lanes c & g probed with PW8810 (clone FK2; 1 µg/mL); lanes d & h probed with PW0150 (FK2HT; 1 µg/mL).
