Hydac portable contamination analysis kit

The portable contamination analysis kit is for identifying and monitoring the types and levels of particulate contamination in all fluid power systems including those offshore where water-based fluids are used.

Depending on experience and training of the operator, the kit can be used to: identify contamination levels under standards such as ISO 4406:1999 and SAE AS 4059; conduct basic wear debris analysis to enable machine wear mode identification; contaminant identification; oil filterability; component analysis.

With the kit being simple to set up and use, it is claimed that no other contamination monitoring tool offers a laboratory or ‘on site’ method of measuring contamination levels while identifying the actual contamination and aiding in determining the root cause.

The kit contains: binocular microscope with 4x,10x objectives, others available; stage micrometer with calibration slide; 10x eyepiece with measurement graticule; USB incident illumination; in-built variable 6 V 20 W halogen transmitted illumination; dual layer mechanical stage; USB extension lead; trinocular head; colour digital camera 3 megapixels; image software, including drivers for Windows NT, XP, Vista.
