Lunginnov tools to study endothelial dysfunction

Lunginnov has developed a range of products for the detection of Endocan/ESM-1 (endothelial cell-specific molecule 1). Endocan has been shown to be an effective biomarker of endothelial activation and dysfunction in a number of disease states including human lung, liver, brain and kidney cancers and in severe sepsis. It has also recently been identified as a biomarker of tip cell growth in neoangiogenesis.

The products include a range of monoclonal antibodies for the detection of C-terminal, N-terminal and internal epitopes of endocan. These mAbs are suitable for a wide range of applications including IHC, Western blot, flow cytometry, ELISA and immunoprecipitation. The company has also developed monoclonal antibodies against rat, mouse, chicken, pig or monkey endocan.

The range of recombinant human and mouse endocans is available in two levels of glycosylation, for use as standards for Western blots, as active proteoglycans in bioassays and other applications. ELISA assays are also available for the quantitative measurement of either mouse, rat or human endocan in biological fluids and cell culture supernatants.
