$448 million in medical research grants

The Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, Mark Butler, has announced $447.5 million for nationwide medical research grants, through the National Health and Medical Research Council.

The Minister has also opened two new research facilities at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne, which has been awarded more than $18 million.
