Australian science companies combine forces
The Australian science industry has had a major upheaval, with four scientific organisations joining forces to become the Lomb Group.
Lomb Scientific, Fronine Laboratory Supplies, Scot Scientific and Ajax Finechem have combined their resources.
The group is now one of the largest suppliers of laboratory instrumentation and consumables to the trans-Tasman scientific market, with office and warehouse facilities in four states and New Zealand.
The Fronine and Scot brands will be retained but they will cease to trade as separate entities, now they are fully divisions of Lomb Scientific.
Ajax Finechem, while a member of the Lomb Group, trades as an independent standalone organisation and will continue to do so.
The Lomb Group has also recently added Eppendorf to its portfolio, increasing its range of products for the research, biotechnology and life science communities.
