Inspiration through innovation
NSW will have a chance to enter the world of innovation and entrepreneurship as the annual Australian Innovation Festival rolls into its sixth year.
The festival is the biggest in the country, boasting 760 events held across all states and territories. This year, it will run from 26 April to 27 May.
The aim is to encourage and support networking and business opportunities for participants in the areas of research, development and technology commercialisation across all industry sectors.
"The festival focuses on creativity, connections, collaboration and commercialisation; elements seen as important to successful innovation in Australia and worldwide," said Australian Innovation Festival chair, Peter Westfield.
The 2007 festival theme is "Clusters of Innovation'. It focuses on the varying innovative strengths across each state and territory across Australia.
With this industry-based theme and a record number of events nationally, the 2007 festival is already set to be the most successful to date. There are 175 registered events being held across NSW during the festival period.
More information on the 2007 festival and an event calendar are available at the website: www.ausinnovation.org.
