MTPConnect and LSQ partner to boost life sciences industry
MTPConnect and LSQ (Life Sciences Queensland Limited) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost the Australian life sciences sector.
“LSQ is vital in providing strategic direction and support to Queensland’s life science sector, and our formal partnership will enhance and complement the advocacy work of both of our organisations, giving greater voice to our associates in the sector and increasing our positive impact,” said Sue MacLeman, CEO of MTPConnect.
Representing over 170 member entities, LSQ is a not-for-profit industry group, working to assist the growth of individual firms and organisations, and build the profile, capacity and capability of the sector to ensure long-term economic, social and environmental benefits to Queensland.
Established as part of the Australian Government’s $250 million Industry Growth Centres Initiative, MTPConnect is accelerating the growth of the MTP ecosystem in Australia by working with the sector to increase its competitiveness, productivity and innovative capacity.
LSQ CEO Mario Pennisi said, “It’s pleasing to have an agreement with MTPConnect, as it is seen to support the current activities across the life sciences industry being undertaken by our members. It is appropriate that this occurs at this time when LSQ is turning its attention to further support our emerging life sciences entrepreneurs.
“This partnership with MTPConnect will provide an additional avenue to support these endeavours.”
