DH-Budenberg, manufacturer of premium pressure measurement and calibration equipment, has opened an Australian branch office to service customers in the test and calibration laboratory sectors.

Local director Brian Coan said; “We have great confidence in the Australian economy to show continuing significant growth, especially in calibration labs in the oil and gas sector, where many of our customers operate. We have seen substantial growth in the past five years with many successes in calibration and service industries, with extensive investment in equipment to aid highly accurate calibration, verification and testing of critically important pressure sensors, for instance.

“DH-Budenberg and Budenberg Gauge products have been available in Australia for many years and we see the new venture as a very exciting phase in the company’s long history.”

The Budenberg Gauge Co first started manufacturing pressure gauges in Manchester, UK, in 1858. The merger of Desgranges & Huot (DH) of France and the calibration division of Budenberg Gauge formed DH-Budenberg in 1996. Gauges and calibration equipment are still manufactured in Manchester, with production also in France and Germany.

The new office is the latest move in a controlled expansion, which has also seen new offices open in Texas, India, Dubai and Singapore over the past few years.
