Environmental chambers to meet your growing needs

Ideal for drug stability studies, shelf life testing for packaged products, and insect and other large-scale biological research, our Aralab environmental chambers provide a stable environment for controlled temperature storage. Their rugged construction and durable shelving for long life will create the perfect fit for your applications.

The Aralab portfolio of high-quality chambers and rooms, featuring optimised technology for controlling temperature, humidity, lighting, airflow and many other environmental conditions, are designed to provide control and flexibility to meet your evolving needs for research, development and testing requirements.

Aralab stability chambers reliably recreate temperature and humidity conditions to maintain a uniform environment. These chambers meet the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) guidelines for stability testing and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 11 guidelines on data logging. In addition, they are also compliant with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

FitoClima range

The FitoClima range includes reach-in and walk-in chambers.

Temperature can be controlled between -5°C and 45°C at a stability of ±0.5°C and a uniformity of ±1°C. Conditions can be sustained between 35% relative humidity (RH) and 90% RH, with stability at ±1% RH and uniformity of ±2% RH.

With no assembly required, the reach-in chambers are ready to use and feature between four and ten shelves for the 600 L capacity unit and between eight and 20 for the 1,200 L capacity model.

FitoClima Bio chambers

The smaller FitoClima Bio ranges include the FitoClima 600 for stability testing, and the FitoClima 1200 for maintaining stability at larger internal volumes. Also available is the FitoClima 600 PLH-R model for photostability trials according to ICH Q1B guideline.

Common applications include:

  • Plant growth
  • Tissue culture
  • Arabidopsis
  • Germination
  • Algae research
  • Entomology
  • Insect storage
  • Other life sciences applications

FitoClima Stability and Photostability testing chambers

The FitoClima 600 PLH-R can simulate and automatically produce light conditions for photostability testing in compliance with ICH Q1B Option 2 guidelines. It features specialised shelves and light banks, which allow for control of ultraviolet (UV) and visible light.

Common applications include:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Cosmetics
  • Food and beverages
  • Veterinary
  • Storage and conservation
  • Quality control and research

FitoClima and FitoTerm temperature and humidity testing chambers

FitoTerm and FitoClima temperature and humidity testing chambers offer highly precise and reproducible conditions for climatic and temperature testing in many industries. Available in 300 L, 500 L, 1,000 L and 1,500 L chambers, they offer temperature control ranging from -20°C up to 180°C and can include humidity control (10–98%), depending on the model.

Common applications include:

  • Environmental testing
  • Electronics, automotive, aerospace, building materials, military equipment, and materials in general
  • Research
  • Quality control
  • Production facilities

FitoLog software

Aralab ClimaPlus controller is an FDA CFR Part 11 compliant programmable logic controller (PLC) that uses FitoLog software to undertake complete datalogging of all conditions of the chamber, user accesses, alarms, and monitoring and registering all sensors and active components of the chambers.

With an easy-to-use intuitive touchscreen interface, the PLC is password protected and can be used to set short-term alarms or long-term automatic notifications to ensure consistent data collection.

To protect data, the device has a non-volatile memory, so programs are automatically restarted under previous settings in an emergency such as a power cut.

Designed to facilitate programming and monitoring FitoClima chambers, the software pack consists of the FitoLog, FitoView, and FitoProgram applications:

FitoLog records and displays data, retrieving information about active components, running processes and reports errors. It helps simplify programs and exports logs to different file types.

FitoLogView is a working tool to process the data recorded by the FitoLog program. One can view, print and export the log contents to other file types, and analyse the data in other data management software (Excel, Star Office, Access or others).

FitoProgram simplifies the creation of programs and its integration on the chamber ClimaPlus controller. Up to 32 programs, each with 24 segments, can be designed and linked to create detailed environmental profiles and simulations.

Your research is secured with alarms, notifications, fast diagnostics and prompt troubleshooting. With FitoLog it is possible to gather data from each of the chambers systems, which makes it a very useful tool to diagnose any necessary maintenance. This tool works as the “black box” of the equipment, giving Aralab technicians the necessary data to remotely carry out a fast and efficient diagnostic. All that is needed is a FitoLog file.

“Walk-in” environments

Aralab “walk-in” rooms are designed to provide a controlled environment for any application. They offer several stability testing rooms for the reliable maintenance of uniform temperature and humidity conditions for intermediate and accelerated trials. With varying dimensions and shelving configurations, these rooms feature capacities starting from 5,000 L (5m3) up to 25,000 L (25m3) or even customised solutions up to 300m3. They are adaptable, with height-adjustable trays, and shelves that can also be removed depending on storage requirements. The floor is slip-resistant, and the modular panels are made of high-density injected polyurethane foam, allowing a stable internal environment even in demanding ambient conditions. Equipped with the latest technology in refrigeration, ventilation and humidification, Aralab Stability Rooms can represent huge savings in utilities due to their modern, energy-efficient components.
