Heidolph offers solutions for all rotary evaporation requirements. The company’s range is suitable for standard and complex distillation, as well as for automatic distillation in both batch and continuous processes. When designing the latest Hei-Vap evaporators, key areas of focus were operator safety, ease of use and operation cost.

All Hei-Vap evaporators are equipped with a separate, illuminated on/off switch for the heating function to prevent accidental activation. Safety features include two independent overheat protection circuits; a water bath with antislip handles and pouring spout; double-wall bath construction for temperature insulation; and IP67-compliant electrical connections.

The system features a detachable control panel for safe and comfortable process control outside closed fume hoods. The clamping sleeve design ensures the vapour tube does not get stuck in the evaporator drive, hence increasing reliability and service life while reducing spare part cost. The PTFE vapour seal has a typical life expectancy of four years, which is said to be eight times longer than other models. The design is claimed to reduce typical operation cost over 10 years by up to 75% compared to other brands.

The range includes solutions for every demand. The entry-level model Hei-Vap Value offers all design, quality and performance features combined with analog process control. The Hei-Vap Value is also available with digital parameter readout. The Hei-Vap Advantage and Precision add process automation tools including vacuum control, process ramping facilities, as well as fully automatic batch processing with antibumping protection. By adding the Distimatic system, the evaporators can be turned into fully automated continuous flow evaporation solutions for virtually limitless batch sizes.
