Malvern Instruments Kinexus rotational rheometer

Understanding the true rheology of a product during its development enables formulators to deliver desirable characteristics (such as the right texture and stability) to optimise its usability. The Kinexus rotational rheometer from Malvern Instruments is based on an understanding of real analyst needs. The intelligent user interface assures intuitive operation delivering consistent, accurate and precise sample measurement from simple viscosity to complex viscoelastic parameters.

The software interface guides the user through setting up the correct system configuration - from measurement hardware to test parameters; from sample loading to data collection and analysis - providing intelligent feedback at all stages via one-click user operation. The open frame design provides maximum space for integrating accessories while the modular plug-and-play cartridge system makes switching accessories quick and easy.

The sequence-driven standard operating procedure (SOP) type functionality ensures consistent rheology testing by all users and the built-in library of established rheological methodologies ensures robust data. From a QC laboratory through to an R&D environment, the product can be optimised for rheological characterisation of dispersions, emulsions, polymers, surfactant solutions pastes and gels.
