Shimadzu UniBloc high-performance balances

Shimadzu’s UniBloc precision balance is now created by high-precision electric discharge wire processing applied to a block of aluminium alloy, and replaces the conventional electromagnetic balance sensor assembly. The updated technology expands the UniBloc balance line-up, which now ranges from semimicro with minimum display of 0.01 mg to precision platform balances up to 52 kg in capacity.

The product’s compact, uniform structure is said to ensure high-impact resistance, stable temperature characteristics, excellent response time and stable corner-load performance. The design permits a consistency of production that assures good reliability and a long operation life.

The AUW-D series dual-range semimicro precision balances with 0.01 mg readability are said to be the first five-decimal balances with the advantages of UniBloc one-piece force cell technology. The balances feature very good response, stability and zero return performance; a choice of fully automatic calibrations, data management and Windows direct connectivity; and a variety of application support functions such as piece counting mode, formulation mode, specific gravity measurement and others.
