IKA A 11 basic analytical mill

IKA batch mills and inline mills are suitable for impact and cutting grinding. The mills can attain speeds of up to 20,000 rpm, with grinding results of 5 mm particle size or 0.25 mm defined ultimate fineness. Good quality blades are suitable for crushing fibrous substances and brittle or hard materials.

The A11 basic analytical mill is a batch mill for two different grinding procedures. The first of these is the impact grinding of hard, brittle or non-elastic grinding materials with a high-grade stainless steel beater (included). This beater can be used for a Mohs hardness up to 6. The second procedure is cutting grinding for soft, fibrous materials with a cutting blade (not included).

The product includes a grinding chamber made of Tefcel (PTFE, glass fibre-reinforced) with an 80 mL stainless steel inlet. This is for the embrittlement of grinding materials with liquid nitrogen in the grinding chamber. For moist and gluey materials, pulverise by adding water.

A 250 mL grinding chamber is optional.
