Tinius Olson concrete testing machines can be used to determine compression, stress, strain, Young’s Modulus and flexural strength. The range of testing machines carrying out tests in accordance with ASTM, AASH, BS and EN standards includes portable, semi-automatic and automatic machines actuated by hydraulic pumps which provide a compressive force range from 50 to 3000 kN.

The TO-series semi-automatic model range features a two-speed pump allowing for rapid response to daylight closure conditions and a control valve allowing fine control over the loading rate thus permitting repeatable pacing. The TO-Mu series includes two additional, programmable motors for highly accurate pace control as well as opening/closing of the release valve. It includes automatic data logging with peak load record and menu-driven control interface and portable compression testing machines with a compression capacity to 1500 kN and detachable hydraulic jack.

The top of the Tinius Olson range of concrete compression testing machines is represented by the TO-FA range. The series includes testing machines with features such as automatic data logging, data storage of up to 150 test runs complete with date/time stamps, automatic display of breaking load, load hold facility, serial data transmission to remote PCs, optional measurement of strain via LVDTs and computation of Young’s Modulus.

The Tinius Olson concrete testing machines are characterised by flexibility in specimen size (up to 300 mm dia x 300 mm high) test cylinders. Loading units feature self-aligning platens and fully welded construction with rugged side plates.
