Environmental sample pre-treatment

The Oasis HLB Disk is a solid-phase sample preparation product for the analysis of EPA Method 8270, endocrine disruptors, personal care products, pharmaceutical residues in surface water, and drinking water and other emerging contaminants. The single-use disks are designed to handle larger and dirtier samples at higher resistant of speed than ordinary cartridges.

The waterproof disks enhance the retention of polar compounds and work with a wide spectrum of compounds and extraction solvents for samples with a pH range of 1–14. They are built on the Horizon Technology Atlantic Disk platform, used by environmental laboratories analysing samples with gas and liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. With the introduction of Oasis HLB Disks, Waters now offers the Oasis HLB sorbent for solid-phase extraction protocols in both cartridge and disk formats.

The sample extraction products are designed to simplify sample preparation by combining the right sorbent chemistry, device format and methodology. They incorporate a hydrophilic-lipophilic-balanced water-wettable copolymer, suitable for any sample clean-up.
