Magnetic stirrers

The Mag Stir Genie from Scientific Industries is a digital programmable magnetic stirrer which is suitable for both low- and high-speed stirring. The ultra low and lightweight stirrer is easily programmed for either manual or automatic use according to preference.

All parameters, including time and pause time, speed, stir direction, and ramp rate may be easily programmed in up to nine distinct steps and stored in memory for subsequent use.

Additionally, three power levels are available for precise stirring of samples with varying viscosities. The units feature a speed range of 10-1800 rpm including reverse and interval stirring. Manual mode functions include stirring, reverse stirring and time controlled runs. The profile mode permits users to quickly program speed, ramp rate, stir direction time (including pause) and power level in up to nine distinct steps. Up to four user defined stirring profiles can be saved and recalled automatically as required.

The MagStir Genie is especially useful for tissue culture applications in spinner flasks where gentle interval stirring and slow ramp rates are necessary for optimal results.
