Announcing the new Model 1004 ALZET Osmotic Pump - a new 4-week pump ideal for small animals, such as mice and young rats. Its very low flow rate is optimal for infusion into solid tissue, such as the brain.

Nominal specifications: rate: 0.11 mL/h; duration: 4 weeks; reservoir volume: 100 mL; dimensions: 1.5 x 0.6 cm.

ALZET pumps are miniature, implantable infusion pumps for use in laboratory animals. Eleven pump models are available in various rates, durations and volumes. Sold empty, the pumps are filled easily using a supplied needle. Implanted either subcutaneously or intraperitoneally, the pumps deliver at constant rates for as short as 1 day or as long as 4 weeks depending on the model selected. The pumps are self-powered, and operation is completely independent of the drug solution injected.

Nearly 10,000 published studies demonstrate the use of these pumps across many research disciplines: neuroscience, cancer, cardiovascular, endocrinology and more.
