Sartorius Cubis 2nd Wave laboratory balances

The Sartorius Cubis balance features a modular design that can be custom configured for different applications. From simple weighing to management of complex sequences using the user/password feature, Cubis meets advanced weighing requirements at a sophisticated level.

The balances have been upgraded with the 2nd Wave Cubis which features new models, features, accessories and software. The 2nd Wave models include Cubis Micro and Ultra-Micro balances with readability to 6 and 7 dp of a gram.

Innovative compensation technology is a highlight of the Cubis range. When the balance is tilted, it shows an alert message on its display. Interactive prompts displayed greatly simplify levelling - without the user having to constantly keep an eye on the level indicator. When the user selects the motorised Q-Level function, optionally available in some MSA, MSU and MSE models, the balance levels itself fully automatically at the touch of a key.

The high protection Cubis draft shields ensure user-friendly operation and unobstructed views of the weighing pan. The materials used in the manual DU draft shield for analytical balances feature a smooth-action design and glide open quietly; the fully automated (motorised) DA draft shield has an intelligent learning function, at the touch of a key. In addition the DI draft shield features an integrated ioniser, which eliminates static electricity inside the draft shield chamber, thus increasing the weighing accuracy. The 2nd wave Cubis adds the new DR draft shield designed for use within a laminar flow.

New Cubis accessories include Q-Grid that allows for accurate weighing in a laminar flow and Q-Grip for samples that are difficult to weigh on a conventional pan.

Cubis offers a choice of three different display and control units covering the widest variety of laboratory applications. The MSA display is a high-resolution colour graphic display touch screen; the MSU generously sized, high-resolution black and white graphic display and keys with positive click action for precise results; and the MSE high-contrast liquid-crystal display.
