Vortex Wizard vortex mixer

Monday, 10 October, 2005 | Supplied by: Rowe Scientific Pty Ltd

Based on infrared technology, the Vortex Wizard from Velp Scientifica detects whether a test tube is present and automatically activates the vortex action.

There is no need for the user to apply pressure, which means considerably less repetitive strain. No more pressure, no more stress. Users can also operate it in the traditional continuous mode. A wide range of accessories is available to accept 1.5 mL Eppendorf type vials, 16 mm test tubes, microtitre plates and flasks. The Vortex Wizard's low profile and solid zinc alloy body aids in bench stability. It also has suction cup feet, so that it will not 'walk' across the benchtop.

The Wizard has an ingress protection rating of IP42, which means that spills will not get inside the unit, resulting in a long life and electrical safety.
