Enzo Life Sciences human growth hormone ELISA kit

Human growth hormone (HGH) is produced by the pituitary gland to fuel childhood growth and help maintain tissues and organs throughout life. HGH initiates a wide variety of growth-promoting pathways — including the MAPK/ERK pathway resulting in direct stimulation and outgrowth of chondrocytes of cartilage — as well as the JAK/STAT pathway resulting in IGF-1 production, which promotes growth in a wide variety of tissues. Additionally, it is known to increase calcium retention, increase muscle mass, promote lipolysis, increase protein synthesis, stimulate the growth of all internal organs, increase glucose availability and stimulate the immune system.

The Enzo Life Sciences human growth hormone ELISA kit enables detection of HGH in serum, plasma, saliva and tissue culture media in just 2.5 h, detecting as little as 0.93 pg/mL. There is negligible cross reactivity with similar proteins (eg, prolactin, human palcental lactogen) and its high-throughput format is suitable for up to 36 samples in duplicate.

The product is suitable for research areas including growth disorders, obesity, bone disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, memory/cognitive disorders, ageing and personal care. It has been validated with human and dog samples.
