Millennium Science Take3 multivolume plates

The Take3 multivolume plates can be used to perform absorbance measurement over a wide range of applications and sample volumes in a BioTek microplate reader.

The multivolume plates are capable of performing colorimetric assays, where the colour-producing reagent is added to the plate subsequent to sample addition. The microspots of the Take3 plate act as both reaction and measurement vessel, which simplifies workflow and conserves the sample. It has been demonstrated that quantification accuracy is significantly improved using this workflow relative to workflows requiring reagent incubation in a separate vessel.

The plates can also demonstrate microvolume fluorescent assays of DNA using the Synergy multimode microplate reader product line and Quant-iT PicoGreen reagent to extend the linear dynamic range of dsDNA quantification to low ng/mL concentrations.

It is claimed the plate can be used to perform fluorescent microvolume assays down to low concentrations. The protocol used showed, when samples, standards and PicoGreen reagent were successively added to the plate, it provided the means to simplify workflow, conserve sample and reagent and improve the accuracy of determination. The plate, therefore, can be used across the Synergy microplate reader product line for microvolume analysis.
