Biosensis Phospho-Sure RTD Neuronal extraction buffer

Detergents that are typically present in cell lysis buffers are thought to disrupt organelles and compartments and increase the exposure of soluble phospho-proteins to phosphatases and proteases, thereby resulting in uncontrolled dephosphorylation and proteolysis. The Phospho-Sure RTD Neuronal extraction buffer, from Australian manufacturer Biosensis, is optimised for the extraction of phosphorylated proteins from neuronal and other soft tissues.

The buffer extracts the phospho-proteins in a native state without the use of harsh detergents or oxidisers and is specially formulated to help maintain phospho-proteins and protect them from degradation. Following the recommended protocol, lysates prepared with the buffer can be used directly in downstream applications or stored for up to one month at -70°C.
