Diagnostic test for ovarian cancer

Thursday, 01 January, 2009 | Supplied by: Manalto Inc

The OvPlex Panel is an early detection test for ovarian cancer, developed by HealthLinx in collaboration with ARL Pathology.

The test works by measuring five different biomarkers (proteins) in blood that are associated with ovarian cancer. It then builds a diagnostic based on that information rather than relying on a single marker for the disease.

Results are available within a fortnight.
