Diatron Abacus Vet5 and Diatron Aquila haematology analysers
The Diatron Group has introduced the Abacus Vet5 five-part differential veterinary haematology analyser and the Diatron Aquila three-part differential human haematology analyser.
The Abacus Vet5 analyser is operated via a large capacitive touch screen, enhancing user experience. Features include: onboard data storage capability of up to 5000 records, including histograms; a comprehensive QC package; and data export/connectivity functionalities, providing improved communication with laboratory information systems.
The analyser uses Diatron Veterinary reagents which enable a wide range of haematological parameters to be tested on a broad panel of animal species. Each reagent pack includes a special hardware key that transfers important product data (eg, lot number and expiry date) automatically to the analyser, eliminating transcription errors while protecting the system from being used with non-recommended reagents.
The Diatron Aquila analyser has been specially designed to provide for the needs of the rapidly evolving worldwide haematology markets. Requiring minimal bench space, the small analyser has low reagent consumption (<10 mL), needs only a small sample size (10 µL) and has an onboard reagent pack sufficient for circa 200 measurements. The analyser has a throughput of 60 tests/h.
