The emergence of genomic and proteomic research has created a need for a more effective way to generate and analyse data.

Traditional DNA and protein analysis uses slab gel electrophoresis. However, slab gel methodologies are time consuming, labour intensive and prone to variability. The LabChip 90 Electrophoresis System offers researchers a technologically advanced alternative by streamlining the multiple, manual steps of slab gel electrophoresis on a small microfluidic chip.

High quality digital data is generated in seconds per sample. This improvement over traditional methods provides the throughput, automation and data quality that are essential for life science laboratories.

Advantages of the LabChip System Technology include data quality that is precise, accurate and reproducible. The system is versatile as both DNA and protein analysis can be performed using the LabChip 90.

Complete sample analysis for hundreds of samples can be achieved in just a few hours with no further processing required and there is a reduction in the manual labour compared with traditional methods.

The direct generation of digital data eliminates the need for photo documentation.

Automated sampling from 96 and 384 well plates is possible and with no additional sample preparation needed, users can transfer PCR plates from a thermal cycler directly into the LabChip 90 instrument.

The results are quantitative with sizing and concentration reported for each sample as it is analysed.
