Gel documentation system

Vilber Lourmat has announced the availability of its latest E-box, the VX-2. The VX-2 has been designed to occupy minimum bench space, yet maintain the performance of much larger systems. The VX-2 intuitive software, including auto exposure, is said to deliver ease of operation.

The 12-bit VX-2 produces images with 4096 grey levels. This high-dynamic range can easily detect very faint bands, with claimed high accuracy for both quantification and documentation. USB ports allow for quick image transfer between the VX-2 and the PC or Mac. The VX-2 is also network capable with a unique IP address for direct LAN connection.

The E-Capt software provided with the VX-2 can be loaded onto any number of computers for the performance of basic molecular weight and quantification analysis.
