Gel scalpels

Tuesday, 07 April, 2009 | Supplied by: Lomb Scientific (Aust) Pty Ltd

Excise target bands without scratching the screen of UV transilluminators with the DNase and Rnase-free gel scalpels.

These polystyrene plastic scalpels have a thin, blade-like end that accurately cuts through gels and a spatula end that lifts and transfers agarose gel bands effortlessly.

The tools speed up gel processing, reducing exposure of nucleic acids to damaging UV light.

Gel scalpels are manufactured in a nuclease-free process and packaged in nuclease-free plastic bags which contain five scalpels per bag. Two bags are packaged per box.
