The ProtoArray Human Protein Microarray Version 5.0 is claimed to be the first high-density functional protein microarray to enable screening of a protein sample or other probe of interest against more than 9000 unique human proteins in a single, rapid experiment.

Full-length human proteins from a broad range of protein classes, such as kinases, membrane-associated proteins, cell-signalling proteins and metabolic proteins, are arrayed in duplicate on a 1 x 3" nitrocellulose coated slide. The nitrocellulose array provides high protein stability and yields optimal results for protein/antibody/small molecule-protein interaction, enzymatic modification and serum profiling studies.
