The a-Hyb Hybridisation Station from Miltenyi Biotec is a fully automated system for processing diverse microarrays: cDNA microarrays, oligo microarrays, protein arrays, etc - from the first hybridisation step to the dried microarray.

The unit's active circulatory system results in an even distribution of liquid over the surface of the slides and accelerates diffusion-controlled processes. Combined with a tight temperature control, these features lead to greater reproducibility and reliability of the assays.

Using a specially designed microtiterplate (MTP)-format slide carrier, the a-Hyb hybridisation station facilitates the individual handling of four standard slides in parallel.

The station can be combined with standard laboratory robot systems enabling its integration into fully automated microarray processing.

The software offers a flexible protocol structure. Users can choose from standard actions like incubation, temperature change, washing and drying, and can combine up to 15 of these steps suiting their individual applications. In addition, temperature and media can be selected independently for each slide. Thereby, protocols can easily be adapted and optimised.
