Microtitre plate closures

Two versions of the WebSeal sealing mat are available for use with round and square bottom microtitre plate wells. WebSeal mats are suitable for sealing filter plates.

Chromacol's WSM-2 fits many standard 96 well titer plates with round cylindrical or tapered wells and WSM-35 fits 96 well plates with square cavities.

WebSeal is an efficient system allowing all the wells, whether using 384 or 96 well plates, to be closed within 5 s in one easy action.

The PTF coated silicone mats are inert and can be applied by hand without the use of heat and/or adhesives. A special version has been designed to be impermeable to DMSO and other aggressive solvents.

The mats are fully autoclavable with a working temperature range from -80 to 200°C.

WebSeal mats are manufactured from PTFE-coated silicone and may be used with glass inserts for 96 well micro filter plates. Use of the glass inserts with the WebSeal mats ensures each of the 96 wells becomes an inert chamber, which prevents cross contamination between the wells. When punctured the mats reseal again.

WebSeal mats are also available for 384 well titre plates and an economy version without the PTFE coating is also available. A microplate mat applicator for efficient, accurate, simple microplate capping completes the product range.
