The PathFinder 900 is a fully automated tube management system that has been designed to manage pre- and post-analytical sorting, decapping, aliquoting, recapping and tracking in a laboratory as well as all storage and tracking requirements.
The simple and smart modular design gives users the opportunity to increase automation by decreasing manual sample handling and decision steps; reducing error handling; and locating samples or secondary tubes quickly with the easy-to-use software. The unit removes the risk of biohazard exposure and foil capping makes sample logistics easy.
The throughput and efficiency of the PathFinder 900 can be increased by coupling the unit with one or more of the smaller benchtop Pathfinder 350S units. Both systems use the same interface protocols enabling easy communication with each other through third-party software systems.
This opens the possibilities for pre-sorting incoming samples at the front end (for example, to process only those tubes that require aliquoting) and/or post-sorting of samples at the back end (for example, into analysis or storage racks).
A network of systems allows for error-free sample tracking within the same site and between sites over the LAN, WAN or internet as the systems share common input and output racks.
The PathFinder900 is easy to install, easy to learn and easy to use on a day-to-day basis. With simple, robust functionality, the unit can help laboratories address many of the challenges associated with sample management.
