Innovatis has introduced the CuBiAn Photometric Biochemistry Analyser, a fully automated, membrane-free chemical analyser that measures key parameters in cell culture media, including IgG. The analyser is designed to provide robust usage and high reproducibility with minimal calibration and maintenance requirements.

All assays are prepared, incubated and measured by the instrument, which features automated pipetting, sample pre-dilution and temperature control, all automated to provide significant assay ranges (1gG 10 mg/mL to 20 g/L).

The system can detect IgG concentrations along with 11 different metabolites in a single sample and sequence. IgG is detected by immuno-turbidimetry, while all other molecules are quantified by photometric enzyme assays. The wide measurement range allows for highly flexible assay methods.

The key parameters measured are IgG (human, humanised), glucose, lactate, ammonia, glutamine, glutamate, inorganic phosphate, LDH, total protein and Na+, K+ and Cl-. Bar code detection of samples and reagents ensures traceable analysis results. The system requires low sample volumes and is capable of providing 90 results/h.
