Roche LightCycler 96 PCR system software updates

Friday, 07 June, 2013 | Supplied by: Roche Diagnostic Systems

Roche has launched high-resolution melting analysis and qualitative detection modules for the LightCycler 96 PCR system.

The LightCycler 96 module for high-resolution melting analysis will be suitable for human genetic disease research applications. It enables easy and fast detection of known and unknown gene mutations, including single-nucleotide polymorphisms, deletions and methylated regions.

The dedicated qualitative detection module enables direct detection and validation of a target gene’s presence or absence. It employs a novel control concept and is designed mainly for researchers in the field of infectious diseases.

The system features a variety of analysis methods, including end-point genotyping and absolute and relative quantification. Data generated by the system can be analysed directly or remotely for translation into publication-ready results in line with MIQE guidelines. With the new software it will also be possible to create PDF or HTML reports.
