The Perfinity Integrated Digestion Platform (iDP) is based on the Perfinity Workstation. It automates key proteomics workflow steps to significantly reduce sample preparation times and enhance reproducibility.

Typically, sample preparation involves manual trypsin digestion followed by reverse-phase chromatography and mass spectrometry, which can take days to complete. Perfinity iDP is a customised Prominence HPLC with Perfinity columns, which can reduce this time to 30 min or less.

This is accomplished through automated integration of buffer exchange, digestion, desalting and reverse-phase separation. The integration of hardware components, columns, buffers and software eliminates disjointed protein sample prep processes. As a result, coefficient of variation values reported at each step, as well as for the entire assay, are less than 10%.

Key features include: high-efficiency trypsin column provides fast online trypsin digestion in 1-4 min; Perfinity iDP Software provides a user-friendly interface; full automation provides more reproducible results; coupling with LCMS products opens a wide range of protein applications; product can be upgraded to the full Perfinity Workstation for affinity selection.
