Tetra cell gel electrophoresis

Tuesday, 01 July, 2008 | Supplied by: Bio-Rad Laboratories Pty Ltd

The Mini-Protean Tetra system for vertical mini gel electrophoresis can run up to four mini gels in less than an hour or 2D gels in less than a day.

Easy to assemble with a sealing mechanism to prevent leaks, the system includes a convenient casting stand for hand casting and the ability to run either handcast or precast gels. The instrument’s interchangeable module design allows its tank to be used for protein transfer with a mini trans-blot module.

For added user convenience, the new Tetra cell lid is designed to ensure correct electrode polarity and electrode assembly orientation. Helpful guidelines are added on the tank to indicate how much buffer to add for two-gel and four-gel electrophoresis.
