Annual survey of Australia's biotech industry closing soon

Thursday, 19 February, 2015

The annual AusBiotech CEO Industry Position Survey is in its final weeks of data collection and biotech industry leaders (CEOs, MDs) are urged to assist industry development with experiences, knowledge, key metrics and political insight.

The survey is open until 27 February at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CEOAusBiotech15.

In April, AusBiotech will again be holding three roundtable focus groups (NSW, Vic and Qld) to discuss the ‘Government Policy’ section of the survey in more detail. CEOs, MDs and C-suite executives are invited to express interest in attending when answering the survey.

The results of the survey and focus groups help build metrics about the significance of the industry and its perspectives and help us to make strong statements about the magnitude of issues and trends. The collated results appear in a printed report that informs and gives valuable ballast to AusBiotech’s advocacy efforts - which is widely used.

AusBiotech says its efforts are far more powerful if messages have your input and support. While input on public policy is a year-round, ongoing and core part of AusBiotech’s work, it is vital to formally seek opinions and information from the leaders of the industry it represents in order to get a comprehensive view of the Australian biotechnology sector.

Anonymity and confidentiality are guaranteed by AusBiotech, which will collect and collate the information and release only de-identified and collated data.

The survey is once again proudly supported by Grant Thornton, which is part of one of the largest networks of independently owned accounting and consulting firms in the world and seeks to work constructively with the Australian biotechnology industry through its activities and support of this survey.

Enquires about the survey or the focus groups can be directed to AusBiotech Communications Manager Lorraine Chiroiu on 03 9828 1400 or lchiroiu@ausbiotech.org.
