Clinical Cell Culture (ASX: CCE) is to be re-named Avita Medical following a shareholder meeting.

The resolution to change the company's name was passed by the vast majority of shareholders.

Shareholders have also resolved to consolidate the company's shares on a 10:1 basis.

The company believes that a name change and the recent shake-up of the boardroom will help drive sales of the company's products, such as the ReCell autologous skin cell kit, further.
