Commercialisation Australia closes for new applications
Commercialisation Australia (CA) is now closed for new applications, following the announcement in last week’s federal Budget that it will cease from 1 January 2015 and the funds will be rolled into the new Entrepreneurs’ Infrastructure Program (EIP).
CA has advised that the Department of Industry will contact current applicants and advise on the status of those applications.
GrantGuru Insights has released a statement this week that full applications, submitted and accepted on or before 21 March 2014, “will be assessed and, if deemed meritorious against the assessment criteria, then it will be funded”.
GrantGuru Insights also advised that existing recipients of CA grants will continue to receive funding support and that Case Managers and the Expert Network will remain in place to deliver support for those with current funding under the CA program.
AusBiotech has written to Minister for Industry Ian Macfarlane seeking confirmation of details of provisions for the cessations of CA grants and asking whether or not already approved (but yet unpaid) grants from CA will be provided or revoked. AusBiotech will advise members as soon as a response is provided.
