Helping entrepreneurial students and recent graduates tap in

Getting an idea into a professional start-up setting can be challenging, so the Small Technologies Cluster (STC) is offering support to Australian student entrepreneurs with the ‘Tapping In’ grant.

The grant supports up to three team members with three months’ free access to ‘The Tap’, a vibrant and innovative advanced technology co-working space.

Located at in outer eastern Melbourne, ‘The Tap’ offers a flexible open workspace that provides the opportunity to accelerate business development through interactions with others who work, network and collaborate in STC.

Eligible applicants include students and recent graduates (within one year) who want to start their own company in advanced technologies (micro-, nano-, biotechnology, medical devices).

The grant provides:

  • use of ‘The Tap’ business intelligence portal, advanced CAD and photo-realistic rendering workstation and 3D printer
  • access to experts for mentorship and support
  • participation in STC events, like Help Desks and the Event in the Tent series
  • a focused opportunity to turn an idea into a start-up.
