ImpediMed opens States-side
Wednesday, 18 June, 2008
Queensland Premier Anna Bligh opened Brisbane-based medical company ImpediMed's (ASX: IPD) US headquarters at BIO 2008 yesterday.
The new San Diego headquarters will take over the most of the manufacturing, customer training and technical service duties of the company.
However, the office in Brisbane will remain ImpediMed's head office, and will continue to be responsible for the financial and corporate development roles, as well as the company's clinical trials and research.
ImpediMed develops and sells medical devices, including a tool used to detect and assess lymphoedema, a disease commonly suffered by cancer patients, particularly those with breast cancer.
