Industry leaders to take part in annual industry position survey
Tuesday, 17 January, 2012
While input on public policy is a year-round, on-going and core part of AusBiotech’s work, it’s vital to formally seek opinions and information from the biotechnology industry’s leaders to get a comprehensive view of the Australian sector.
The survey is seeking the views, on the operating environment and asks questions that will help build evidence about the significance of the industry, its perspectives and tracks trends.
In order for AusBiotech to rally as a cohesive industry body with a common goal, it seeks this information to build a strong platform for campaigning, to better represent the sector.
The research intent is to be able to make strong statements about the magnitude of issues and trends and what would be likely to redress them – as well as providing a platform for operating and campaigning this year.
Grant Thornton is part of one of the largest networks of independently owned accounting and consulting firms in the world, and seeks to work constructively with the Australian biotechnology industry through its activities and support of this survey.
The de-identified results will be released in a comprehensive industry report, to be launched at industry briefings in April.
The survey was issued by mail yesterday to selected CEOs and industry leaders and an email link will follow tomorrow. Enquires about the survey may be directed to AusBiotech’s Communications Manager, Lorraine Chiroiu.
