The largest investment event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere will again be held in conjunction with Australia’s premier biotechnology industry conference, AusBiotech 2012, this year at the Melbourne Convention Centre on Friday 2 November.

Last year's showcase attracted over 200 participants and 120 investors from around the world. The Summit brings together national and international investors, including angel investors, venture capitalists, fund managers, brokers, investment bankers and representatives from superannuation funds and large pharmaceutical companies.

An independent review conducted at ALSIS 2011, asked the value of deals expected from the 2011 showcase and the actual value of deals that were done as a result of the 2010 and 2009 events, showing that at the very least $33 million has been generated in investment.

Supporting ALSIS 2012 are a number of new initiatives, including free webcasting of presentations via Open Briefing – an online investor communication platform for hosting, distributing and archiving important market updates – and the chance to be part of an investor magazine lift-out in the Australian Financial Review (AFR).

AusBiotech is also finalising the program for a one-day intensive presentation and media skills workshop with highly-specialised coaching for CEOs and senior executives of presenting companies, limited to 10 places.

If you would like to submit your company for a presentation (public and private), register to attend as an investor, or investigate sponsorship opportunities (no later than Wednesday 1 August), please contact AusBiotech’s Investment Program Manager, Hayley Laing or phone +61 3 9828 1400 or visit http://ausbiotechnc.org/alsis/alsis-home.
