Ita Buttrose to speak on philanthropy for research
Legendary media editor, businesswoman and 2013 Australian of the Year Ita Buttrose will be the guest dinner speaker at next week’s Research Australia 2013 Philanthropy for Health and Medical Research conference.
Buttrose is the current National President of Alzheimer’s Australia, Patron of the Macular Disease Foundation and Emeritus Director of Arthritis Australia, and will no doubt make it a highly entertaining evening.
The 2013 Research Australia conference will be held in Sydney on 20-21 August 2013. The two-day event will be opened by the Hon Jillian Skinner, NSW Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research.
Following the official opening, delegates will hear from Mary Woolley, the CEO of Research!America, to discuss the importance of collaborating in philanthropy.
